About

Nancy started Transitions in 1995 in response to the opening of Kendal at Ithaca. Within a few months, Kendal contracted with Nancy to assist in the creation and organizing of marketing functions. As Kendal thrived and began to reach capacity, due to her keen understanding of the situation, Nancy became the move-in coordinator handling last minute preparation of units and meeting the needs of the new residents. During the next several years, she was kept very busy with these duties while assisting her private clients as well.

In 2003, Nancy accepted a position with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County planning and implementing programming for Trumansburg middle school students continuing to work with several Kendal residents over the years to follow. Recently, Nancy retired from her Cooperative Extension position and is increasing her presence as an organizational consultant transitioning clients to many different life situations and circumstances.

A Long Island native, Nancy moved to Ithaca to attend Cornell University where she met her husband David, and for the past 30 years they have lived in Mecklenburg, NY. They have three children, all recent college graduates, Jenna, Allie and Eric.
